“I was one of the 1% of females in the Marines and became a leader while stationed in Rhode Island and Hawaii. After my departure, I began having night terrors and lost two boyfriends because I beat them up so badly at night while sleeping and understandably, they could not endure it anymore and left me. I tried 3 medications and a Psychiatrist but they did not help to change my condition.
Then, I met Ryan from Semper Fi Service Dogs and my dog, Mattis (named after a
legendary Marine officer) and we began training together. We built a special bond and Mattis became my amazing service dog. He turns on the lights when he senses a night terror coming on and this alerts me to wake up and he comes over to calm me down. Now, I rarely have a night terror, no longer need to see a psychiatrist and am on no medications! I have a fulfilling career in HR and give back by being a career coach to military men and women seeking direction and a job, and I also knit baby blankets for Orphans and kids in hospital.
Ryan is selfless with old school values and conduct. He means what he says and
always delivers. He is trustworthy, a great team leader and does everything he can for the Veteran’s well-being and good mental health. He does it all for free. He is the very best.”
